I have been looking on the marked for an alternative to queals shaker for abit now. But all the shakers i've tryed have some sort of flaw. And to be honnest i like the look og queals better than most other shakers. So i have high hopes for v4. Don't dissapoint us or will keep bugging you with surgestions till you get it right.

allso: can you make some logo stikkers we can slap on the Shakers we don't buy from you?

my main problem i have is with the small removable lit. I have 3 shakers and only 1 lit left. I've mannaged to chain it to the bottle now, But it took some engineering and power tools.

If you insist on sticking with the lit design, then atleast make it easy to chain it to the bottle. The tiny slit on the current moddel is not enough.

So a few points about the new shaker, especially when compared to the one from JimmyJoy:

The good:

• Slimmer design makes it fit nicely in my bag
• More professional branding, perfect for an office. JJ's bottle looks like an oversized baby bottle (blame the color scheme), and most shakers out there look like I'm drinking steroids for lunch (especially ones wich say "HULK BULL POWERLIFT" or something equally ridiculous).
• Twist-cap: I feel safe storing this next to my headphones inside my bag. Feels like it won't pop off.
• Measurements are clearly visible. Yay!
• Metal spring ball thingy is a necessity. I'm glad it's here.

The bad:

• Rubber ring gets loose all the time. It's almost as if they were disposable!
• There is a gap between the inset part of the bottle and the screw-top, that part is hard to clean.
• The text on the bottle is not the worst, but it's still tacky. Queal is an awesome brand because it is neutral and discreet. While I like being a part of the food revolution, I don't want to evangelize it.

The ugly:

• There is a cavity in the screw top. It's super hard to clean, and when food gets in there (which is always) you must clean it, otherwise it rots. This interferes with the selling point of "quick meals".

One of my 2.0 lids suffered fatal injury but no humans, powder or liquid were injured Turns out too much ice and heavy shaking were just too much. Oh well, one more left.

Last week I ordered a new shaker and got the v3 for the first time. I was really disappointed to see the model changed. Here are my findings:

Version 2
- easy to clean
- the firmest shaker of all (comparing with competitors). I never had issues with this shaker, it is secure and of great quality. The shakers of competitors always tend to break or tear after a few months of use and putting in the dishwasher.
- does a great job with the mixing by using the spring mesh. No lumps at all.
- never had an issue with uncapping
- because of the wide opening on top it is easy to scoop in the powder without making a mess
- the ink on the bottle doesn't fade over time so the measurements stay clearly visible

Version 3
- more narrow and thus more difficult to clean, I can't fit my hand inside
- because it is narrow it is nearly impossible to put the powder in (even with a scoop) without making a mess.
- feels a lot more fragile
- has a whisker shaker ball. This is the same as competitors and I think it's a pity that it got changed from the spring mesh back to a shaker ball. The whisker mesh does a mush better job in mixing. With the ball there often are little lumps in the fluid, even after shaking for a few minutes.

Conclusion
Me and my boyfriend both prefered v2 above v3 (never used v1). It felt stronger, easier to use and mixed better.

Maybe it is an idea to have 2 models of shakers to choose from? One that is more bulkier like the version 2 model, and a "sport edition" or something that has a slimmer design and easier to fit in a bag.

I just got my 3.0 shaker. Not so fond of it so far.

I liked the 2.0 way better.
It mixed better (3.0 takes 3-5 minutes before all is mixed smooth), 800ml instead of 600, you cant lose the cap (cap design could have been better). felt very durable and never broke (while competitors ones did), looked not so flashy in an office environment.

The 3.0 is hard to clean, where do you keep the cap while drinking, it splatters when you take the cap off, and it just looks low budget.

I can only agree with you. I very much dislike the fact that the shaker is hard to clean and that I get a Queal shower every time I open the shaker after shaking.

It does look nice though.. But looks only go so far..

I use a metallic funnel so the narrow opening does not bother me at all (nor with cleaning):

The cap with the twisting lock and the whisker ball makes this a big improvement over the previous bottle for me and i hope those aspects stay (a bottle with a wider opening seems to be the theme in the feedback).

To add to others complaining about v3 being hard to clean - for me the worst thing is the grey plastic screw-in thing. It is big hollow opening that gets nasty buildup of damp powder after each use. To clean it, you have to either hold it under hot water for quite a while or use toothpick... Please do redesign this grey screw-in thing without a hollow opening.
Another thing which happened to me already twice - if you tighten it very closely and put in the fridge, you may find it difficult to unscrew (not the grey little thing, but the big blue cap). It could be that blue plastic shrinks at low temperatures faster than the bottle itself and so gets even more tightened. Not a deal breaker, but maybe different kind of plastic could avoid such surprises.

Hi Queal

First off, I'd like to start by saying I really like your product. I absolutely LOVE the chocoloate taste in particular (which my recent order should also tell you ) and I plan on using this as a regular part of my day in the future.

Now with that said, I have been using your product for a little while now and like I said, I am generally very satisfied. Apart from my extremely stinky farts I thoroughly enjoy almost everything about it. That is everything except your bottles. I have not had the honor of trying the previous models, but the one you are using now is, to put it nicely, extremely frustrating in a few ways.

1:
The large rubber ring/gasket/seal, whatever you call it, in the dark blue screw-on lid keeps falling out no matter how cautious I try to be when tightening and this makes preparing the shake take way longer than it needs to. I don't know how it's possible, but sometimes it even falls out while tightening and drops into the shake with the lid fully on. I guess that sounds like fun if you are into fishing for rubber gaskets, but that's not really my thing..
When this happens you don't always see or hear it fall out, and so when you start shaking the bottle sprays Queal all over the kitchen cause it's no longer tightened enough to contain the shake. And as if that wasn't enough the rubber ring, after having been shaked with the metal ball, has now entangled itself in the ball and you have an unwanted puzzle on your hands trying to get them untangled.

Long story short / TL:DR: It's super *beeping annoying!

The "hole" in the lightblue cap is suuuper annoying. It seems to hold an infinite amount of powder in it which makes me HAVE to check it after shaking cause I don't want a powdery 1'st taste when I drink my shake (also, I'd like to have that powder in the mix where it belongs instead!). This, in conjunction with number 1, makes the whole shaking experience really tedious and like I said initially makes this take waaay too long.

Looking through your forum it seems like I'm not the only one that finds these 2 things annoying, so I really hope that you will try to remedy them in the near future!

V.2 is still my favorite shaker. Dissolving the powder is much better and faster in V.2.

Also have the loose rubber gasket and hard to clean cap issues in V.3.

As for the pressure, I noticed that it aleady build up right after the initial shaking, so when I'm done shaking, before storing the drink in the fridge, I just unscrew the lid sligthly to release the pressure, this produces almost no spillage at all. I then firmly close the lid again and store it in the fridge.

Before drinking, I give it another quick shake and pop open the drinking hole, no Queal shower at all.
