Queal shakes are a great breakfast!
I've never bothered with intermittent or prolonged fasting as they do not suit my lifestyle, but they can work for some people.
I started using queal a lot these past 3-4months and I work out 5times a week with 3intensive strength training(45-60min) days and 2 high intense conditioning workouts(20-35min). I used to during the weekdays eat oatmeal-based breakfast and then eat a full queal meal for lunch, leaving dinner the only actual calories I have to count for which was super easy, and it was even easier once I switched my breakfast with queal as well.
For a queal breakfast I prepare this the night before. I use 3scoops of (vegan)queal which amounts to 100g=400-420cal mixing it with 200ml milk/soymilk and 200ml water, and sometimes I’ll add half a scoop protein powder (soy powder) around 500-550cal just to make me feel satiated longer(on days i don't workout i just use 3scoops only). Which is a good breakfast to start of the day with. And then of course I will also prepare my lunch for school which is just 5scoops(700cal) of queal. I do make sure to time my lunch at least 2-3h before my workouts so I will still be left with lots of energy to do better in the gym and when conditioning.
Many say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that can be true to some extent because it satiates and gives you energy early in the day. But in terms of combining it with training which is the time where I have to perform the hardest I will leave my biggest meal 2-3h before that session to make sure I have enough energy from the meal to perform better(the 82g carbs in queal also help a great deal with that).
When I do morning/early workouts on days I don’t have school I usually switch around my ‘’breakfast’’ and ‘’lunch’’ having my biggest nutritious meal of the day 10-20min after I wake up and then waiting 2h before I head out to work my butt off.
So yes you can eat queal for breakfast, but what is more important to remember is you cater your meals to what you need throughout the day(and with queal that is so easy to do). Need more energy early in the morning? Just have a full queal meal there. There’s no such thing as a normal breakfast. What should be normal is that you provide yourself with the right amount of food(energy) at the right time to give you the best results.
