How to get cheaper shipping

There is misleading information in your ordering system that needs to be fixed.

I'm ordering products from your web site. I live in Spain. I've done this many times before. I'm a long-time Queal customer.

As i'm selecting quantities for my order, a notification window displays the message, "Order €55.00 more for cheaper shipping". Nice!

I make sure to order the indicated amount (22 GO bars). Possibly more than I would have ordered otherwise, I don't know. But the total is now €55 and I want to save money!

I go through the checkout process and am told that shipping will cost €11.05.

Just to see how much I saved, I changed my order to just 1 single Go bar. The shipping cost exactly the same: €11.05. WTF?

I ordered more and more. 35 Go bars, totaling €87.50! Still €11.05 for shipping. No savings whatsoever. That "Order €55.00 more for cheaper shipping" was not true.

I kept playing around and found that my order needed to total €90 (not €55!) in order to receive a cheaper shipping charge (€6.05).

Please fix your ordering system. It is inaccurate and misleading. Thanks.

Hey @joshzam, thanks for letting us know about this.
You're absolutely right, this isn't accurate at the moment.

I won't go into detail, but the issue lies in a misalignment of weight-based versus price-based shipping calculations.
This works fine for the Queal Powder bags, but is clearly not accurate for orders containing bars.

I'll work on fixing this immediately.

I know this is a suuuper old thread, but the discounted shipping system appears to be broken again. I am looking at shipping to Canada. Shipping 1 bag is coming up with the same shipping cost as shipping a $100 order. The discounted shipping came up correctly when I placed my first order a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure what changed since then.

Hey @Cheeto!

Shipping price is based on the weight of the order. Shipping is more expensive than last time for you, because you are placing a larger order.

With the 1 bag order, you are below the €49,- threshold and therefore don't have the cheaper shipping.
With the €100,- order you are above the 5kg weight threshold, which increases shipping price again.

I don't understand. Isn't one bag of Steady about 500g? So if I get 7 bags, which isn't enough for "'cheaper shipping," it should be around 3.5kg, and if I get 8 bags to qualify for cheaper shipping it should be around 4kg. But both come up with the same shipping price of $19.86

There is an increase to $37.77 if I set it to 11 bags, which would pass the 5kg mark you mentioned.

7 bags (of Standard) comes to €49,- and thus already qualifies for the cheaper shipping.

Shipping 1-6 bags to CA: €18.51
Shipping 7-9 bags to CA: €13.42
Shipping 10-19 bags to CA: €25.52
Shipping 20+ bags to CA: €43.67

What I'm seeing still doesn't match up with what you're saying:
With 6 bags in the cart, it says "Order CAD11.42 more for cheaper shipping." and the shipping price is $19.86.
With 7 bags, it says "Order CAD0.32 more for cheaper shipping" and the shipping price is $19.86
With 8 bags, it doesn't say anything about cheaper shipping anymore but the price is still $19.86

Yesterday 1 bag was also coming up as $19.86, but looking today it appears that shipping for 5 bags or less is now $27.40. Either way, though, it is misleading to see at 6 bags that more are needed for cheaper shipping and then have no change in price after adding the indicated amount.

CAD$19.86 is already the cheaper shipping.

I'm guessing the 6 bags isn't the only thing in your shopping cart (maybe a shaker?) thus at 6 bags you are already getting the discount on shipping.

Shipping without the cheaper shipping discount is CAD$27.40
