Funky Forest Fruit - taste test

I finely got around to doing the funky forest fruit taste test. And BOY should i have done that sooner.

The new flavor is Awsome. First impression was: Waw this actually tast like fruit.
The old version was bland. You wouldn't guess that it was forestfruit if you didn't see the package.

The new taste is allsow great for mixing with other flavors. It twist the aftertaste without blocking the taste of the others.

After my taste test i mixed the old and new togeather. Tasted just like the new one, wich make me think they just added a new 'spice' the the old mix

Very insightful of you; Yes, the improvement is indeed an itterative improvement, combining the previous Funky Forest Fruit flavouring with additional flavouring aspects to create a more complex and 'natural' palette.

For everybody else that's curious:

• If the batchcode of your Funky Forest Fruit bag is 3-19-1, then it's the new improved flavour.
• If you order Funky Forest Fruit Athletic now, you are guaranteed to get the new improved flavour.

Is Athletic the only version where you are guaranteed to get the new version?

I'm going to buy my first set of bags in a few days, and even though I have not tried the old version I'd like to get the best version right away

Yes, Athletic is the only guaranteed new version at the moment.

For Standard we're expecting to sell the new version around mid-September at the latest.
For Lite there's no definitive timeline I can give yet at this time, unfortunately.

Ah I see.. I just ordered a bunch of Standard flavors a few hours ago (3 bags of each flavor! excited to try this stuff out finally ) is there still a chance I could get the improved version or?

There is a chance you'll get the New version. The test i made was on standard queal. And I ordre it abort a month ago. Each bag har a number on it. Onno_queal wrote the number for the New version earlier in this thread. But don't be sad if you get the old version, it's still god.
And May i sal i like the entusiasme in ordering 3 of each flavor for testing. I myself ordre one of each in my first batch.

And yeah lol, I might regret ordering that much if it turns out I really don't like it or something, but I figured I might as well go all in since it's not really that expensive compared to what I usually eat

There was a much greater chance for one to get updated Funky Forest Fruit flavor a month ago than today. If you read this:

Due to an unforseen long delay in getting the paperwork signed off for shipment to the USA (issues with the Trump administration and general bureaucracy), we're selling bags that were intended to be sold in the USA in the EU instead. Due to this, the introduction of the improved flavours in Standard-diet will be delayed by about 1.5 months.

Now Queal needs to first sell the batch that was going to go to USA but didn't. Understandable.

I only received my first order last week.... Funky Forest Lot nr is 2-50-1 - is that old or new? It is disgusting. About as bad as Macchiato. Horrid after taste.

I only started a week ago, testing Lently vs Queal for 1-2 shakes a day, goal of losing weight... and so far, Lently is winning. I already liked them better due to the no soy, but Macchiato and Funky Forest really have the most vile aftertaste. I really liked Apple Pie... but honestly scared to tackle the next flavor. 2 out of 3 so far have been ugh.

Hi @gila, looks like you've received an older version of Funky Forest Fruit. If the batchcode on your bag is 3-19-1, then it's the improved flavour. Unfortunate to hear you're not a fan of the flavours you've tried so far I'm curious about your opinion on the other flavours. Banana Mania is my personal favourite!

Beetje lullig, toch? If you know the taste sucks, then still send out crap old formulas to new clients.

I ordered nine flavors total, so hoping for the other six to be somewhat better. Like I said, Apple Pie was great. But it is depressing how obviously fake the sweeteners and ingredients are in some flavors - the main reason I hesitated to even order Queal from the start.

Hey @Gila, I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the Fruit or Macchiato flavour.

Taste is subjective of course!
The old fruit-taste was actually my second favourite flavour (after Banana).

We didn't send out "crap old formulas to new clients", we've never sent out "crap" formulas.
In our opinion, we moved the Funky Forest Fruit flavour from 'good' to 'great'!
Though, again, taste is subjective.
