Flow tub - should it be sealed?

Just opened my first flow tub & was surprised to see no seal.

Anything else I can think of, whether I buy retail or via the web, has a seal underneath the screw top - coffee, powdered milk, capsules from health food shop etc.

Glass jars that don't have a seal, do have whats known as a tamper proof mechanism where a button pops up once the seal is broken.

So just the screw top lid on flow - is that how it should be?

Yes there should be a seal in your jar, but the heat-sealing may not have gone through totally. This means that the seal may have come off during your first opening of the jar (it should be in the lid, and the sides may have sticked more to the lid and thus have been ripped of immediately).

We have our own production and there is no reason to suspect that the jar is not good.
