Many times in Queal emails or even some of the updates here on forums I read that decisions/changes you (Queal) made is backed by some sort of "test group". So I was just wondering how does that work?

Personally, I am Queal consumer and supporter for quite some time now and I don't recall receiving any invitations for testing or feedback regarding changes/new items. It's not that I mind but seeing how now you have forums with many of your loyal user base registered and active here you should take more feedback from here as well.

For example, reading about the shaker bottle v4. Will you just come up with a design and product without any community interaction here or will you post some sort of prototype iterations requesting feedback from us before actually deciding on the design? There are many more examples where you could value the input from the community more transparently than until now.

If you don't want GP to know about everything going on internally, maybe the closed forum section with users above certain level or some sort of "confirmed" users might be a good start.

Hey Mitja!

I'm sorry to hear you've never been invited to give feedback before! I know you've been a customer since almost the beginning, so the odds were heavily in your favour to have gotten an invite at least once by now.

There's various ways we get feedback from the community;

• The majority feedback comes in through our customer service emails.
  • People contact us with a complaint and/or suggestion, and we keep meticulous track of all of these, and run through them all once per week, and then again whenever we're running a big improvement project.
• We also send out emails asking for specific feedback from time to time.
  • These emails are usually sent out to preselected groups, based on their purchases in the past (specific flavours, or receiving a specific version of the shaker or booklet).
• From time to time we also do in-person focus-groups, showing prototypes of new products or designs, asking for in-depth feedback.
  • Though so far this has been limited to our Dutch customers, for logistical reasons.
• Lastly we do a fair number of Skype calls with our customers every week.
  • Sometimes with quite broad questions, sometimes we show them something specific.
  • We send out emails asking people if they are available for a Skype call almost daily.

Great post @Onno. I really appreciate the detailed explanation. Original point still stands, use the forums more as well. See in the shaker thread, people are already offering to beta test v4

I already had the mail settings set correctly and just replied about the Skype call. This week was too insane for me but I had Queal to save me some time
