Are the Nuts & Seasalt bars vegan?

From the ingredient list on the packaging it seems they are, at least I'm not seeing anything to indicate they're not. If they are, why are they not marketed as such? If they are not, what ingredient is not vegan?

Hey @Spook,

The Nuts & Seasalt is almost completely vegan. As you have probably seen, it doesn't contain animal proteins but it has Vitamin D3, which is kind of a grey area, as to whether or not it is vegan.

Because of this grey area, we have decided not to advertise it as vegan.

Yes, indeed. We use vitamin D2 for our vegan shakes.
