Any ideas for Limited Edition flavours? :cherries: :cookie: :thought_balloon:

At Queal, we regularly produce a new Limited Edition flavour. What flavour ideas can you think of? You never know, one day your idea might become reality!

Amazing Almond? Could be a nice nutty addition to the current sweet flavours!

Definitely something like Banana Chocolate. That is the best combo ever. Or maybe something nutella like, so chocolate and hazelnut. on the more breakfasty side maybe something like maplesyrup pancake?

Perhaps another sort of fruit like mango, grapefruit or kiwi. Another idea is to create a flavour for dinner, something that resembles the taste of a complete dinner meal.

And you've even picked out the alliterative name for it!

@jannodekluijver: Banana Chocolate you can make yourself.
Just mix 2,5 scoops of Cool Chocolate with 2,5 scoops of Banana Mania!
With regards to the nutella flavour... You may very well get your wish next month!

@Daan: Grapefruit and/or kiwi are a bit sour for my taste...
Though the Lemon Cheesecake Limited Edition flavour was really nice too, and that was somewhat sour as well.

With regards to savoury flavours... Trust me, we've tried.
We can make something taste exactly like bacon or pizza or cheeseburger.
But it's still going to be wet and cold and liquid, and that makes your brain go: "Nope!"

@Onno_Queal How does Queal react to being made with hot water/milk or being microwaved? I could try myself (for science reasons) but sometimes science is best left to people in laboratories.

You can drink it warm.
If you make it with near-boiling water, and then have it cool, it'll turn really thick and viscous, like porridge.
Basically the oats swell and settle.

The other issue is that the heat (anything +60C) quickly degrades the micronutrients (vitamins) to the point of non-existence.

For these reasons, a warm Queal meal is not ideal.

I'd something like Starbucks White Mocca, but with only a light coffee taste.

Sometimes, if I don't want anything sweet, a savory Queal would be nice as well, maybe Tomato, or Tomto Basil, like a soup or Gazpacho.

Though we completely see the appeal of a savory Queal, our last foray into the idea turned out pretty bad in all honesty (Party Pizza flavour).
However, we have in no way abandoned the idea of a savory Queal flavour, but we will keep you all updated accordingly

And what about a savoury one? Like a mild chili sauce.

Also, in Spain we have a thing called "leche merengada". It's made boiling milk with cinnamon, sugar and lemon peel. It's delicious. It's the base to a typical spanish dessert: "arroz con leche" (rice with milk). Basically it's rice cooked in this milk.

As we mentioned on our Instagram, we spent a fair amount of time last week perfecting several flavours for future Limited Edition use. We took a whole bunch of submissions from this forum and ran by them.

At least one suggestion each from @Robbie, @Daan, @Brandis, @genome, @ktroot, and @SilentException may very well become a reality later this year.

They'll then join ranks with @jannodekluijver, whose Chocolate Hazelnut Happiness we hope to add to our permanent line-up in early March!

We're always on the lookout for the next big flavour-idea though, so definitely keep them coming!
