Hey @Jet, excellent question!
We've noticed a wide array of interpretations for "scoop", and certain characteristics of the powder are not helping either.
The powder is quite easily compress-able.
If you completely fill the scoop inside the bag, and use your other hand to compress the powder into the scoop by pressing the side of the bag from the outside, that is how we originally intended it.
With that technique, it comes to 5 scoops.
There's the additional benefit that the powder will 'stick' to the scoop even when the scoop is virtually completely turned upside down. This makes for easy shaker-filling.
However, if you have a different scooping technique, that requires 7 scoops, that perfectly fine too of course!
The Queal Standard bags are all at least, and very close to, exactly 533g. So if 7 scoops per meal gets 3 meals out of the bag, than that's the right quantity of scoops for however you're scooping!
Sorry about the confusion.
