So I've had 3 bars now. One salt with my initial order and then 2 with one of each with the follow up order.
As I said on another post, I found them to be pretty close to what I hoped i.e. I didn't want them to taste too good otherwise they'd become a temptation, when what they need to be for me is a stand-in for a meal that I can't fit in.
I had the initial salt one without a drink to hand iirc and it took me by surprise with the initial saltiness, but after that I enjoyed it and probably washed it down with a drink at the end. But tbh I can't remember.
The other 2 were eaten on a long day out more recently and were eaten with a hot drink.
I definitely noticed the saltiness less, maybe a mix of expectation and the accompanying drink.
I was a little surprised that the chocolate one was less chocolaty than I expected, but thats because I'm used to eating something like a flapjack in the same circumstance. Once I reminded myself that i was getting much more balanced food, I was able to 'switch' my mindset.
I suspect I'll order a few bars with each order and keep them for those unexpected moments or long days walking / biking, where there's always a temptation to revert to fuelling with sugar laden snacks 
I do like the fibre / laxative elements of Queal, as my previous diet really lacked fibre. So pls don't reduce this element of the bars or the powder.
